Grammar in Use, Basic - Present Continuous Questions (are you doing?)

Present Continuous Questions

일반적인 Present Continuous는 주어 + be동사 + v-ing이지만,
Present Continuous Questions는 주어와 Be 동사 순서를 바꾼 be동사 + 주어 + v-ing이다.

• I am doing.
  Am I doing?
• She is working.
  Is she working?
• They are eating.
  Are they eating?

물론 의문사(Interrogative)를 넣는다면 맨 앞에 넣어주기만 하면 된다.

• Is she working?
  Why is she working?
• Are you going?
  Where are you going?

Answer

현재 진행형의 의문문에도 실제 동사는 be동사이다.
따라서 대답할 때도 be동사를 넣어서 대답하면 된다.

Q: Is she working?
A: Yes, she is.

Q: Are you coding?
A: No, I am not

Q: What are they doing?
A: They are dancing.
